Easter Prayers to Honor The Resurrection

Easter Concept: Empty tomb with 3 crosses on hill at sunrise

5 Beautiful Easter Prayers, along with Bible Verses

Jesus humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross. Because of that, we have hope.

And because He rose from the grave, we have the forgiveness of sins and eternal life (if we accept His gift).

Easter, the holiday we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, is an extra special day to think of what was done for us.

Use any (or all) of the Easter Prayers below as you remember what Jesus did on the cross. He is risen!

  1. Risen Savior,

    You are all-powerful and victorious!

In Your great mercy, You gave us new birth into a living hope

Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

You exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him

The name that is above every other name.

Salvation is in Jesus, and with it, eternal glory

Thank You for Your promise to be with us always.

Our hearts are filled with wonder and gratitude.

In the precious name of Jesus,

    Amen

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

  2. Divine Redeemer,

You are light, there is no darkness to be found in You.

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to You.

Because You conquered the grave, You are my deliverer.

You have rescued me from darkness and brought me into Jesus’ kingdom,

Who is my redeemer and forgiver of sins. I have been set free from sin!

Thank You for Your grace that sustains me today and every day.

I praise You and thank You with my whole heart!

    Amen

For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

  3. Glorious Lord,

    You delight to show mercy,

And the riches of Your grace are immense.

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Thank You for loving us so much that You gave Your Son

So we can have eternal life because we believe in You.

Jesus, who defeated death, is at Your right hand interceding for us.

You have swept away our sins like a cloud, like the morning mist.

May Your name be blessed forever and ever!

    Amen

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3

  4. Father of Miracles,

You are the author of life,

And Your Son chose to lay down His life for me.

Victory belongs to You! Death no longer has any power.

Sin is no longer my master because I am under grace.

I am blessed because You cover my sins and forgive them.

Thank You for giving me hope through the resurrection of Your Son.

May I be transformed into Your likeness with ever-increasing glory.

    Amen

Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died – more than that, who was raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Romans 8:34

  5. Victorious Lord,

You are the resurrection and the life.

You conquered death for all eternity.

Christ was raised from the dead through Your glory

So that I might walk in the newness of life.

I am so grateful for the reassurance that I am saved

Since I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead.

By Jesus’ wounds I have been healed.

For this, I lift Your name on high!

    Amen

I want to know Christ – yes, to know the power of His resurrection and participation in His sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Philippians 3:10-11
