Simply pray and ask God for his guidance and direction in your life. Say the thoughts that come to your mind, express your feelings, and bring your requests to Him.

You may want to ask for clarity or help in making a decision, or you may just want God to show you what He would have you do. The Bible says that God will abundantly give wisdom to everyone who asks.

But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously and graciously to all. James 1:5

When we pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with wordless groans.

We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. Romans 8:26-27
