Prayer on Time Management
There are so many things that constantly compete for our attention, which makes it necessary to be intentional about:
- Not allowing ourselves to get distracted
- Staying focused on the things that matter most
- Asking for God’s continual help in using our time wisely
We can get into the habit of rushing and letting busyness consume our lives, but that is not the way God intends for us to live.
Reading God’s word and talking to Him is always a wise way to spend time. If we invest in these things, we will have a better outlook on life, and anxiety will decrease.
When we are walking in God’s purpose, the things we do and the impact they have are not a waste of time – they have eternal value. As long as you are breathing, it means that God’s work through you is not finished yet!
In Matthew 11:28, Jesus said, “Take my yoke, for my burden is light.” We can truly live the best life when we surrender it to God.
Use this Prayer on Time to guide your conversation with the Lord. Be blessed!
Prayer to Use Time Wisely
Eternal Father,
You are the one who created time.
Your word says we are a vapor that is seen for a little while, then disappears.
I have made decisions that weren’t the best use of my time. Please forgive me.
Help me use the time You give me wisely, in such a way that brings You great glory.
Please give me a clear mind and help me focus on the most important things.
When I get too busy or rushed, please help me to stop and reflect.
Fill me with wisdom and understanding and be my guide and counselor.
I want to understand what Your purpose is for me and take it to heart.
Grant me strength, energy, motivation, productivity, and success.
May I keep my eyes on You and not give in to selfish desires.
I want to look back on my life and know that it was well-lived.
My desire is to hear You someday say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Amen
Teach us how short our life is, so that we may become wise. Psalm 90:12
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Ephesians 5:15-17
