7 Prayers for Confidence, along with Bible Verses
Moments of doubt and insecurity are something we all experience – we may doubt ourselves and our abilities, a relationship, a situation, our appearance, our performance at work, our plans, whether we’re fulfilling God’s purpose for us, and so on.
Although we feel insecure at times, we certainly don’t have to let that take root so that it follows us wherever we go. We can fight it by praying and giving our struggles over to God.
We can also make a point of growing spiritually (developing our prayer life and regularly spending time in God’s word).
Knowing that we can always place our confidence in God is comforting and reassuring. That is where real confidence comes from.
Any success we experience in life comes from Him. If we put our confidence in anything (or anyone) else, we will surely be disappointed. People and possessions will fail us, but God never does.

Prayers for Confidence
- Mighty God,
In perfect faithfulness, You have done wonderful things.
Lord, You know that some things and situations
Cause me to have doubts, which often make me feel insecure.
Sometimes my fear comes from the unknown.
Please help me to remember that fear comes from the evil one –
He uses it as a tool to distract and discourage those that love You,
But Your Spirit gives power, love, and self-discipline, not fear.
Thank You for Your promise to never leave me.

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 - Powerful Savior,
You are great and most worthy of praise.
Sometimes it’s easy to beat myself up over my mistakes.
Please help me remember that no mistake is too big for You.
May I be humble and and place all of my confidence in You
And Your strength to handle every single detail in my life.
Thank You that I can approach You with freedom and boldness.
Please give me courage to stand up for myself and others
When I know that is what You want me to do.
May Your will be done,

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Hebrews 13:6 - My Redeemer,
All honor, glory and power belong to You.
Because You are my helper, I have nothing to fear.
If I focus on my failures, they can pull me down.
Please help me to be humble, thinking of others as better than myself.
And yet, let me have the confidence that comes only from You.
I pray that others would see and know that the spark of confidence in me
Is from You and what You did by sending Your Son to the cross.
Thank You, Lord for all of the marvelous things You have done.
Please help me to keep my eyes fixed on You.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 - Victorious Lord,
Your love is better than life, and my confidence is in You.
You made me unique, there is no one else exactly like me.
Help me remember that I am Your masterpiece, and You delight in me.
Please help me to not think of myself more highly than I should.
God, please show me what Your purpose is for me.
And when I know what it is, please help me to fully step into it.
May I use the gifts You have given me to bring honor and glory to You.
Thank You for blessing me with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16 - Holy Messiah,
Thank You for surrounding me with Your favor.
I know without a doubt that You will finish
The good work You have started in me.

The temptations and trials that will come my way.
