Who wrote the 3rd step prayer for AA?
The author of the third step prayer for AA isn’t clearly known. A lot of people have thought it was authored by Bob Smith or Bill Wilson, the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous.
However, recent research suggests that Harold Hill, a program member, may have written it. Anonymity is part of the AA philosophy, so the power of the prayer seems to matter more than who wrote it.
