We can have joy because of God’s grace – it is a gift from Him, and it naturally comes as a response to the blessings He has given us. When we realize just how much God loves us and the magnitude of His grace, joy comes.
There are things we can do to experience joy: Keep our eyes fixed on the Lord, talk to Him in prayer, abide in Him, obey Him, and focus on things that are excellent or praiseworthy (whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable).
Having the invaluable support/fellowship with a group of people who are like-minded is another thing that will bring us joy.
The joy of the Lord (what makes our heart glad) is something that cannot be taken away from us, no matter what our circumstances are.
We are sons and daughters of The True King, and no one will snatch us out of His hand (John 10:28). Because of what Jesus did for us, we have an eternal inheritance in heaven!
