Opening Prayer: 5 Top Prayers

Opening prayer being said by group of people sitting in a circle

5 Versions of Opening Prayer, along with Bible Verses

An opening prayer is the best way to start a meeting, Bible study, event, service of worship, or wedding.

When we pray before any type of gathering, we enable our hearts and minds to be in the best position possible.

We honor God by making it a priority to talk to Him first. And when we do that, we will be blessed.

Focusing on who God is and what He can do will prepare you for whatever is next on the agenda.

Welcome Him into your presence with any of the opening prayers below. May your gathering be blessed!

Opening Prayers

Meeting Opening Prayer

Father in Heaven,

Thank You for each person who is gathered here.

We know that You are here with us, and for that we are grateful.

We ask that this meeting would be blessed,

That it would accomplish what You want it to.

We ask for Your wisdom and continual instruction.

May the decisions made today be guided by You.

We make plans, but we know that You direct our steps.

We will do all of the work You set before us

And leave the results up to You.

In the name of Christ we pray,

Amen
