Best Prayer Before Work: 2 Versions

You may be wondering, “How do you pray to prepare for work?” Use either version of Prayer Before Work to guide your chat with God.
Saying a prayer before working helps lower any anxiety you may be feeling, and another benefit is that it helps you focus.
Short prayer before starting work
Heavenly Father,
As my workday starts, I ask for Your guidance.
Please establish the work of my hands,
And fill me with energy and strength.
May my colleagues see and feel Your love
And know that all glory belongs to You.
Please help me find satisfaction
In all my labor, for this is Your gift.
Amen
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
Powerful prayer before starting work
Mighty God,
I know that You are able to bless me abundantly.
Thank You for Your help and for always being with me.
I pray that Your favor would rest upon me throughout this workday.
Establish the work of my hands and fill me with Your Spirit.
May I work as if working for You, not for a person.
Please help me to have a clear mind and work with all my heart.
I pray that Your blessing would be upon all that is accomplished.
May I be love and light to each person that I see or talk to.
When I’m discouraged, help me remember to focus on You.
Lord, I commit to you whatever I do in word or in deed.
May everything be done in love and bring glory to You.
